Locanda Barbarigo - Venice

This place was great with its charming decor and fantastic location just minutes from st mark's square. It was the perfect base for exploring venice during my two-night stay.

i had an airy classic double room with a delightful view of courtyard. complimentary wifi and a safe were available here.

Utterly charming next to a canal constantly served with gondalas. In fact the gondala ride that we booked actually went past the hotel entrance.

Locanda Barbarigo is extremely well situated for the San Marco area of Venice yet, by Venetian standards, good value for money. It is small, full of character and quiet (apart from the opera next door which we rather liked). Our room was clean and adequate and we particularly appreciated the modern, spacious and clean ensuite. The owner is a friendly, helpful lady. There was plenty of choice at breakfast (nothing hot of course) so you could fill up for the day! There was a choice of types of coffee too. We would love to return.

The lowest the air conditioner would go was 20 degrees and summer in Venice needs cooling!

Loved the quaint, antique decor and the unbeatable location-only a short walk to St Mark's Square! The mattress was a bit too soft for my liking. A charming spot for exploring Venice.

Made to feel very welcome. Very authentic hotel. Like staying in Venice in the old times. Pretty good location. Glad we had expicit directions otherwise would have been hard to find. could walk to everything though.

Our room was peaceful, and the location was perfect to explore nearby attractions like St Mark's Square and the Accademia Gallery. Don't miss the charming cafes in the area, they were great spots to unwind.

This hotel has a charming appearance, but honestly, the steep stairs woudl have been fine if I had been given an assist with my luggage. Absolutely ridiculous that there were zero English channels on the TV, and I definitely expected some special treatment considering I stayed for 4 nights! I almost gave a good review but just couldn't.

Located near San Marco square, just on the channel. Very quiet as just few rooms in the hotel. High quality equipment at the bathroom. Air conditioning is available. Friendly and helpful staff.

A little bit difficult to find it; it would make sense to provide the detailed instructions in advance.

The hotel was clean, comfortable and well located for our needs. The airconditioning was fantastic. The breakfast could have less carbohydrates and should include fresh fruit. The yoghurt is great!
